Refund policy

Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy

Once a product has been purchased, and collected from the CarTek store, or delivered to the customer, returns will not be accepted by CarTek. As a strict policy, product return or exchange requests will not be accommodated for reasons such as change of mind, unmatched expectations, or incorrect product selection, unless the item has a valid manufacturing defect covered under warranty.


Exchanges

CarTek will only accept exchanges under the following conditions:

  • The product is brought back in the same brand-new condition as purchased.

  • All original packaging, tags, labels, and accessories must be untampered, unused, and factory-sealed.

  • The exchange request must be made within 7 working days from the date of purchase or delivery.

  • Upon inspection and approval by CarTek management, the customer may:

    • Exchange for another product of equal value, or

    • Upgrade to a different product by paying the price difference.

CarTek reserves the right to reject exchange requests if the product shows signs of installation, usage, damage, tampering, or missing components.


Refunds & Store Credit

Refunds are not applicable for any purchases made at CarTek.

For approved cases (e.g., warranty-based returns or supplier-approved defects), CarTek will issue Store Credit equivalent to the product value.

  • Store Credit is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

  • Store Credit may be redeemed for any future purchase at cartek.lk or the CarTek store.

  • Shipping, installation, and service charges are non-refundable.


Warranty Claims

Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and is processed according to the product’s official warranty terms.

To claim warranty:

  • Customer must provide the original invoice.

  • The product must be returned for inspection.

  • Approval may take 14-28 working days based on supplier evaluation.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to improper installation

  • Physical damage, burns, or modification

  • Water damage

  • Issues caused by third-party technicians

  • Normal wear and tear

If installed by CarTek technicians, installation-related issues will be handled accordingly.


Final Terms

By purchasing any product from the CarTek website or CarTek store, the customer agrees to abide by the above Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy.

CarTek reserves the right to update, modify, or interpret these terms at its discretion.
